The Erasmus+ project "From Digital Gaps to Green Impact: Transforming Adult Education for a Sustainable Future" empowers adult educators to bridge the gap between digital transformation and environmental sustainability. Coordinated by InnovEdu Nexus Institut e.V. (Germany), the project unites partner organisations and learning centres from Finland, Spain, Poland, and Latvia. It runs from 01.06.2025 to 30.11.2026 and contributes to building a more inclusive, green, and future-oriented adult education sector across Europe.
Throughout 18 months, the project combines structured courses, job-shadowing visits, and group learning activities in the four participating countries. Educators explore how AI tools, digital literacy, and green pedagogy can transform learning spaces into drivers of sustainability and innovation.
Key learning experiences include:
• Job-shadowing in Finland – focused on sustainable learning environments and digital inclusion;
• Short-term training in Poland – addressing green community practices and eco-innovation;
• Teaching assignment in Spain – promoting digital teaching strategies for sustainability;
• Group learning activity in Latvia – fostering collaboration and peer exchange among educators.
The project’s SMART objectives are to:
• Strengthen adult educators’ digital and green competences;
• Integrate sustainable and inclusive practices in adult education, in line with the European Green Deal and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
• Promote lifelong learning opportunities for adults with fewer opportunities, ensuring accessibility and empowerment through digital tools.
By turning digital challenges into green opportunities, From Digital Gaps to Green Impact inspires educators to become agents of change — driving innovation, sustainability, and inclusion in European adult learning.
